They are coming. What do they want? What do we want?

A production about crossing borders, both national and personal.

"People gathered on the shore and watched as their river disappeared. They sat and watched, because people like to watch their own misfortune."
Ryszard Kapuściński

They come from Belarus, Ukraine, Syria, Yemen, Congo. Europe is turning into a borderland where cultures intersect and clash. Borders are changing, some are fading, others are being fortified, new ones are being drawn. And on each side of every border there is a different part of the truth about the world, about ourselves.

What do those who leave their homes lose? What does someone lose when crossing the limits of their own comfort, safety, and learned way of life? What do we gain when we do it?

How do those arriving from Iraq, Syria, Yemen differ from those arriving from Ukraine, and how do they differ from us?

And how do they live here, with us and among us?

These wars and crises have been going on for far too long. Where are the limits of empathy and compassion?
